There are many ways to help the environment but this is how we like to do it.
We want create an impact on the environment and create an opportunity for the music industry to do so. By creating multiple ways for artists to give back no matter their budget. By building the community we can create an even bigger impact and bring more awareness throughout the music industry to be able to give back and tackle our environmental responsibility. Simultaneously, we are giving artists the opportunity to grow their audience by creating international connections from the audience of other artists. The more people support and listen to our playlists, the more can be done for our environment and the more successful the musicians become. In the future we would like to also incorporate other projects such as wildlife, ocean and humanitarian causes.
We, as a community, can tackle the environmental issues of today. This project is only possible with your help. The more listeners, the more artists will join our movement and therefore the greater our impact can be. Join us by listening to the playlists, following and spreading the word.
We talk to artists that are interested in giving part of their streaming income from Spotify into the reforestation of our planet. We give artists the option to donate 1/3 of their streaming income on a(n) single/EP/album or their entire catalogue. They can also choose to donate the streaming income they only got from our playlists. Either way, whatever the artist chooses they are helping the planet in the way that suits them. The more the listeners support the artists and their music, they will provide the finances to support the environment even more. We at Stream by Stream curate playlists with songs of the artists involved on Spotify, Youtube, Apple Music and Deezer to support the artists. You can follow these and we will donate 1US$ to reforestation for every 100 followers. So, by listening to our playlists you can not only be sure to find your next favourite artist, but also that you’re supporting reforestation. The artists and us donate monthly into our fundraiser.
The trees are being planted by our partner OneTreePlanted. The Vermont, USA based non-profit organisation with tree planting projects all around the world. With the help of botanists and geographers they are able to plant the trees in areas where they are needed the most. Check out their website to know more.
