Njerae is a Kenyan born and raised singer songwriter and producer. Her music identifies as Afro-Indie with a touch of RnB and soul. Njerae has performed at Tetrapak international’s 60th anniversary at the Villa Rosa Kempinski in Nairobi and at the Africa Nouveau Festival 2018. She has shared a stage with Aloe Blacc, Just a band, Mayonde, Sage, Jarel and Estelle as a background vocalist for Muthoni The Drummer Queen at Blankets and Wine. Njerae is also a founding member of C-KIZA, a forum created for Connection, Creativity and Change among young people. She graduated from Sauti Academy and recently attained her bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Nairobi. She hopes to one day open a counselling center where music will be used as a form of therapy. Having been a graduate from Muthoni Drummer Queen's perFORM music incubator, Njerae has equipped herself with skills in live music performance, marketing and generally being a musical entrepreneur. Njerae has also set a landmark by being nominated as songwriter of the year at People’s Choice awards 2022.
